Mobility for Mozaika

The Status
As a church plant, Mozaika does not yet have a building to call home. Our meetings and work have to be very fluid as we function at multiple locations for church services, work meetings and small groups.
Each Sunday we spend hours setting up and tearing down for church. This involves bringing in everything we need for a service - sound equipment, supplies for communion, instruments, and food and drink for our community time. A great part of our challenge is transporting and storing all of these supplies.

The Need
After much discussion as a leadership team, we have decided to pursue the purchase of a van and a lockable trailer. The Purpose Transportation and Storage
With a van and lockable trailer we would be able to transport and store all of Mozaika’s supplies in one location rather than multiple people being responsible for various items. A van will facilitate the ministry of Mozaika and the church plants in numerous ways. It’s purpose would not be limited to the following, but allow us to share our vision of how we would use the van:

Short Term Missions Teams
In an effort to grow the influence of Mozaika within Nitra and promote first-hand cross cultural missions experiences, Mozaika will be hosting several short term missions teams. Other than costly car rentals, Mozaika does not have a way to transport teams. As teams work in orphanages, conduct evangelistic outreaches and work in schools we will need to efficently move them to ministry locations.

Getting People to Church
Since Mozaika functions as part of network of church plants, a ministry van would not only help grow the ministry of Mozaika, but the network as a whole. In the town of Komarno a large number of the church plant members rely on public transit to make their way into town and to church. For many, including the elderly and couples with young children, this means leaving their homes at 7:00am and returning 3:00pm. It is a long day, but people put in these hours on public transportation demonstrating their value of Christian community. Since Mozaika holds services in the evening, there would be no scheduling conflict. Imagine how the church would grow if people could get to it easier.

Special Events
With the summer quickly approaching, there are a number of events and camps that we would like to see Mozaika church members have the opportunity to be a part of. With a van we would be able to help connect people with events that they may otherwise miss.

The Target
We have already begun raising funds and are actively working towards our goal of 400,000 Slovak Crowns (SKK) to purchase both a ministry van and lockable storage trailer. Now 400,000 may look like a scary number, but it is only $20,000 dollars.

The Opportunity
With our fundraising already underway, we are confident that our ministry in Slovakia will continue to grow bolstered by the purchase of a van. With your investment we will purchase a van before the end of this year. We invite you to join those who see the value in this project and have already invested. Together,we will see Mozaika mobilized in new ways.
